I agree it is time to part with Plekanec.

Trade him for a top 6 winger or picks and prospects that will help you getting one later


But we all know it will not happen during the season and there is less and less chances he is getting move before the season starts.

So i don't believe he is getting traded.

fair enough. just so long as you realize your top 2 centers will be DD and Eller, and Montreal will have the weakest group of centers in the NHL. not a recipe for contention in my view.

The only way I see Plekanec leaving this season would be at the deadline, which would mean things are going very bad.

With Price hitting his peak for the next couple of years, trading your best center for future considerations is not the smartest thing to do.

Like DD said, Habs would have DD and Eller has our top 6 center....
